So we got my second brace over a month ago and the difference was almost immediate. And now I can even spend time without the braces and my legs support me! But Mama prefers I wear the braces during the day to be safe. Once I got my braces, Mama spent a whole lot of time finishing my Halloween costume. Not only did she want to bring me to the Clinton Elks for "Trunk or Treat," but she entered me in the costume contest at my veterinarian's office. I ended up being a Steampunk Princess. And I won the contest! I got so many prizes it was wonderful. I love the Animal Hospital of Clinton-Perryville so much. After all the fun from Halloween we had a little time to relax, but then Mama had surgery. She said that she and I have something in common now because she had a similar surgery to the one I had when she adopted me. She's still recovering at home and she needs me to cuddle with her and keep her safe while she sleeps because she sleeps heavier than she's used to while she takes the pain medication.
Since Mama hasn't been able to get around quite as much since she had the surgery, she hasn't been giving me Benadryl. I haven't had it in almost a week, and I'm doing fine without it! And last week she got me a shot of antibiotics and for the first time ever I have no hot spots or skin irritation. Mama was so excited when she pet me all over and couldn't find any scabs or sores. All I know is I feel great and I love my Mama and my family and my life is really wonderful right now. And on that note, I have to put Mama to bed and make sure she feels better.
